Exercise “Graduated Exposure”

Gradual exposure is a psychological technique in which a person gradually becomes familiar with what they fear or what causes them anxiety (triggers).
Gradual exposure helps to:
– Reduce fear and anxiety related to the body or loss of a body part.
– Teach the brain to perceive signals from the nervous system more calmly.
– Gradually adapt a person to a new reality, without unnecessary panic or freezing in pain.
